Chocolate chip ice cream pie

1/2c chocolate syrup
1/3c semisweet chocolate chips
2c rice krispies cereal

1 qt chocolate chip ice cream softened

coat bottom and sides of an 8in pie plate lightly with butter.
Combine syrup and chips in a small bowl and microwave on high until hot, ~45sec. Stir until smooth. reserve 1/4c for later.
Combine remaining chocolate and cerealand mix to coat. Press mixture over bottom and up sides of pie plate. Freeze until firm, ~15min.
Spread the ice cream over the chocolate shell and drizzle with remaining chocolate mixture. Freeze pie, covered, until firm, ~1hr.
